Greg Scheibel’s paintings transport us to the wild, wonderful landscape of the West. It is his home and source of inspiration.

Greg is young, eager, enthusiastic, energetic and talented. His ability to capture the brilliant yet ever changing light, the immensity of the high country, the subtle moods of the landscape devoid of people, gives us an intimate sense of experiencing his world firsthand. He is a consummate seeker, packing into wild lands to see and paint firsthand his experiences. He brings those images back and translates them into paint along with his rejuvenating need to be as close to nature as possible.

I chose Greg to be in this show because I think his paintings embody a person who is close to nature and his craft – a perfect blend of the artistic and the natural world.”
